Job Description
Are you a visionary leader with a passion for shaping educational excellence and community engagement? Join us as the Executive Dean, Academic Operations with our New Orleans, LA campus. This role is the chief administrator of the campus, responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to achieve academic and operational goals. The Executive Dean will cultivate a student-centric campus culture, drive positive outcomes, and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. As the primary ambassador for the campus in the local community, your dedication will be key to advancing our mission and enhancing student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Culture Ambassador: Champion a student-centric environment rooted in our TEACH values and Chamberlain Care. Drive the expected culture, leading by example, promoting optimism, a strong work ethic, and positive values that encourage high team performance and growth.
- Academic Leadership: Foster a culture of collective and collaborative accountability focused on student success, including ownership of NCLEX outcomes, positive customer service experiences for both students and colleagues, and delivering high-quality academic programs compliant with institutional standards.
- Functional Leadership: Oversee all aspects of campus operations, ensuring alignment with growth expectations and effective organizational structures. Collaborate with university teams to drive initiatives that advance campus goals and drive outcomes.
- Talent Management: Support all talent acquisition and development efforts, empowering staff and ensuring they have the resources needed for success. Hire, develop, empower and retain top talent through motivation and support.
- Change Management: Serve as a champion of change, motivating faculty and staff to unite around shared goals. Establish a clear and visible presence throughout the campus and stay attuned to campus activities while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Financial Oversight: Collaborate closely with the finance department to manage the campus P&L, ensuring financial targets are met and proactively addressing any issues.
- Student Lifecycle Management: Implement strategies to attract new students, monitor enrollment metrics, and optimize retention and graduation rates.
- External Outreach and Relations: Stay abreast of national and local news, legislation and events. Build strong networks within the community, including local organizations and regulatory agencies. Represent the campus on advisory boards and in community outreach efforts.
- Accreditation, Approval/Compliance: Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of regulatory and accreditation requirements, ensuring that the campus meets all standards and expectations. Establish a culture of compliance with very clear expectations and consequences for deviating. Oversee institutional assessments and internal audits and compliance within all areas and functions. Ensure reports are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure that all activities within the school are conducted in an ethical and fully professional.
- Policy Maintenance: Establish and uphold campus policies and standards, promoting operational effectiveness through process improvement and adherence to institutional guidelines.
- National and Campus Liaison: Collaborate with national directors to implement processes and policies at the campus level. Disseminate communications from the parent organization to faculty, staff, and students. Work with other campuses to solve problems, share best practices, and explore synergies.
- Campus Safety: Ensure a safe and functional environment for staff, students, and visitors, and address classroom and facility needs. Partner with leaders at co-locations. This role also serves as a designated Campus Security Authority.
- Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Qualifications
- Education: Master's degree in nursing, education, or business is required; PhD is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in nursing practice, with at least 2 years in higher education administration or as a faculty member.
- 2+ years in educational administration is required.
- Experience managing a P&L and overseeing multiple functions is preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and operational experience with budget responsibilities.
- Excellent collaboration, strategic agility, and emotional intelligence.
- Proven ability to think critically and solve problems effectively.
- Licensure: Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse or multi-state licensure privilege to practice nursing in the Commonwealth/State.
Additional Information
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $100,171.61 and $175,761.85. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
